Great service, clear communication throughout and did a brilliant job taking down the tree. Tidied up everything before leaving and made sure I was happy with everything before then left. Would recommend them for any future jobs.

Darren, Romford
Super efficient! Very quick and tidy. Really appreciated the attention and care to ensure the tree was cut for health. Also noted another tree that needed a branch cut and quickly did that.
Abraham, Hackney

Crown Reduction
A crown reduction is a highly effective way to address a tree’s overbearing presence, especially in urban environments where space is limited. We offer professional tree surgery to balance overall structure and make growth more suitable for surrounding properties. Selecting this service in Ilford helps reduce weight from outer branches while minimising the risk of storm damage.
The key to a successful crown reduction is precise pruning techniques that prioritise minimal wounding. Cutting too aggressively or incorrectly can result in significant stress on the tree, inviting disease, decay, and an imbalance in growth. Our skilled arborists carefully select cuts that maintain the natural form, ensuring the tree remains healthy and visually appealing, while alleviating any risks posed by its size. Preserving vitality and structural integrity is always the primary goal, extending the life of the tree and improving its overall health.

Crown Thinning
Trees with dense foliage are vulnerable to uprooting or branch failure during strong winds. Our arborists perform expert tree surgery to remove crowded internal growth and reduce overall canopy weight. We regularly carry out selective thinning for grounds across Ilford to improve airflow and protect surrounding structures.
By removing internal growth and reducing excessive branch density, you allow better air circulation through the crown, which reduces wind resistance on the tree. This decreases the risk of wind throw and helps the tree withstand adverse weather conditions more effectively.
In addition to improving resilience against high winds, thinning enhances light penetration to the lower canopy and surrounding ground, promoting a healthier environment for lawn growth and understory plants. This also improves light distribution within the tree itself, contributing to better long-term vigour.
Crown Lifting
Crown lifting is a vital pruning technique that involves selectively removing lower branches from a tree’s crown to achieve several key benefits. If you require specialist tree surgery, our qualified arborists deliver the exact care needed to manage your landscape safely. We carry out regular crown lifting for properties throughout Ilford to increase ground clearance and improve overall light levels.
Increasing light penetration enhances the growth of grass, shrubs, and understory plants beneath the canopy, creating a healthier garden environment. It also improves air movement, reducing the risk of fungal disease by preventing stagnant moisture.
Crown lifting is particularly valuable for maintaining statutory clearances from buildings, highways, and public footpaths. It clears walkways for pedestrians, prevents branch interference with streetlights, and ensures compliance with local authority regulations.

Pollarding
In terms of cyclical management, pollarding is used to control the size and shape of trees for safety or aesthetic reasons. This regular cutting back promotes the growth of new, vigorous shoots from the pollard head (the cut points), which keeps the tree’s crown compact and more manageable.
Additionally, pollarding can help restrict the development of explorative roots. By regularly cutting back the crown and reducing the tree’s size, you also limit the overall energy the tree can devote to root expansion, which is beneficial in preventing roots from damaging nearby infrastructure like sidewalks, roads, or underground utilities.

Tree Rigging
Dismantling and rigging is a highly specialized aspect of Tree surgery, particularly in urban environments like London, where space is limited and precision is crucial. Here’s a breakdown of what makes this process so intricate
1. Complex Rigging Systems: Pulleys, friction devices, and ropes are used to carefully control the descent of branches and timber. This prevents damage to nearby structures, gardens, and other obstacles.
2. Piece-by-Piece Removal: Trees are dismantled in manageable sections to avoid uncontrolled falls, ensuring safety and precision in confined spaces.
3. High-Level Skill Requirements: The process demands a thorough understanding of physics (force, tension, and balance) and geometry (accurate cutting angles and load distribution
